Greetings
This is another thing that I started in the lockdown period, and it definitely worked for me. This is just my experience and opinion, please don't force anything on your face and skin.
A note to the boys: Please don't shy away from taking care of your face. Because one thing that I am sure about is that no one likes pimples. It may work for you, without spending any direct money, so do give it a try. 😄
FEW POINTS TO REMEMBER
1. Clean your face before rubbing ice (Scrubbing will be great)
2 Keep moving the ice, don't leave it in one place for too long
3. Keep it short
4. Put the ice under running water for a second or two before you start to smoothen the pointed edges
Ice Facial/ Rubbing an ice cube on the face has a lot of benefits, which are even stated all over the internet, and the following is my experience with it.
1. CLOSES OPEN PORES
This has been in the debates for a long time, but it did work me. Scrubbing the face before rubbing ice proved to be beneficial. So do give it a try.
2. REDUCES INFLAMMATION AND ACNE
Well, for me acne is an old enemy now. Since the day I started daily ice facials, pimples have just vanished and if it appears once in a blue moon, it goes away within two days by rubbing ice over it, as it reduces sebum productions.
3. REDUCES UNDER EYE BAGS
Our lifestyle includes staying up late and staring into our phones, along with eyes that effects the face too. Rubbing an ice cube will reduce the under-eye area to swell up and reduce the swelling, if any.
4. SLOWS DOWN AGEING PROCESS
Ice facial reduces wrinkles and fine lines which is equal to ageing at a slower rate
5. IT IS THE CHEAPEST
Ice is available at our homes, it requires the smallest effort of filling the ice tray regularly. Other than the cost of electricity, IT'S ALMOST FREE.
6. ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY
Well every time we buy a new beauty product, there is something that comes along with it, the PACKAGING which mostly ends up in trash after use and our beloved ice comes for free and without any extra packaging to be disposed off.
BONUS TIP: You'll mostly be doing the ice facial in front of the basin, so just keep a mug full of normal or lukewarm water to dip your hands in and use both hand alternatively while applying ice on the face (So when you're using your left hand to apply ice, put the right hand into the mug and vice versa)
HAPPY LIVING 💙
