I have been following intermittent fasting for pretty much the whole lockdown period. So before I share my cheat codes to achieve your desired waist size, let's see how it exactly help us.


1. IT'S MORE THAN A WEIGHT LOSS DIET

 If done correctly, intermittent fasting helps us heal the diseases in the body. Weight loss or gain is just a result of the healing process. If we read the ayurvedic scriptures, we will find out the importance of fasting much deeper, which I will discuss in the upcoming blogs.

 Fasting for a few hours every day will not only improve the body but also the mind, you feel the difference faster if you meditate regularly.

It's hard to stick to a diet when we are surrounded by addictive foods and of course, staying at home due to the lockdown, which is so close to our fridge



1. TAKE IT SLOW:


 We tend to get too serious with the diet plans provided by our sources that we get too harsh in the first few days and shower way too much self-appreciation in the next. So it'll be way better if we go step by step and increase the level, start with 14 hours of fasting if 16 looks like a big number, and then gradually increase it by maybe 20 minutes or more.


2. PLAN THE DIET YOURSELF


 No one knows you better than yourself. This will reduce the stress of sticking to a diet and you'll be much happier doing it.


3. IT'S A LIFESTYLE


 Intermittent fasting is giving your body enough time to digest and rest and heal, so keep point 1 in mind and try sticking to it longer than any other diet and later you can even make it your daily practice in life, and trust me it gets way easier than it looks.


4. DON'T BE GUILTY IF YOU BREAK A RULE


5. KEEP YOURSELF BUSY


 This is very very important, like an empty mind is a devil's workshop, in the same way, free time is hunger's delight. So keep trying to find ways to keep the unnecessary food away.


6. EXERCISE


This isn't anything new, so please make sure you do some kind of exercise at least 4 times a week. Keep the body moving, it won't complain. 







A BONUS TIP: 


To get the best results, eat water-rich foods and foods that directly come from nature. It will reduce the burden from your digestive workers of the body from the digesting process and work more on the fat reduction and healing process.
